Spring is now here, the flowers are blooming and one can see the momentum of emerging life. Behind the sweet ears, the inert aspect of nature, there is an intense, rugged rush of vitality that allows the seed to blossom, the latent and passive to become manifest and active. This power of the seed, breaking the shell, releasing the germ, carving its new path between earth and air, is represented by Aries, the first sign of the Zodiac. Aries marks the beginning of the Astrological New Year, and generally symbolizes the beginning, the inauguration of new cycles and new beginnings, whether these are cycles of personality experience and exploration of the labyrinth of manifested, morphic life, or the beginning of a cycle of spiritual rebirth, reorientation and return to the house of the Spiritual Father.

In this sign we can recognize the primordial, irresistible impulse of the pioneer, the scapegoat, the one who breaks through old shells and opens up new paths. With the help of the energies of Aries, the animal man crossed the great crisis of individualization, where he was called upon to abandon the irresistible impulse of mass, instinctive consciousness and enter the difficulties and neuroses of self-consciousness and free will.
